The Anambra APC Chairman, Mr Basil Ejidike, has said that the party is collaborating with APGA to win the 2027 Presidential Election in the state.<\/p>\n
Ejidike said this on Tuesday during the APC stakeholders\u2019 meeting in Awka.<\/p>\n
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Anambra is ruled by APGA Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.<\/p>\n
Addressing the stakeholders at the meeting, the chairman said: \u201cWe are working with the ruling APGA to make sure that we deliver 95 per cent of Anambra votes to the APC and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also affirmed the party\u2019s support for Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election.<\/p>\n
\u201cI move the motion that we Anambra APC, adopt President Bola Tinubu as our Presidential Candidate in 2027,\u201d Ejidike said.<\/p>\n
The motion was seconded by the party\u2019s stalwarts in the meeting, including Mr Nicholas Ukachukwu, the APC Governorship Candidate in the Nov. 8 election in the state, and his running mate, Sen. Uche Ekwunife.<\/p>\n
The chairman further said that the meeting was convened to organise members at the unit, ward, and local government levels for the upcoming ward congress, which starts on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Also speaking, Ukachukwu underscored the need for party discipline and unity among members if the APC must win the presidential election and other elections in the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnambra APC will grow when the right things are done.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe joined the APC to make the party better in Anambra, and not to cause confusion or chase away the people we met in the party,\u201d Ukachukwu said.<\/p>\n
He frowned at the situation where an APC stalwart would defect to another party, return later and still wanted to maintain his position, instead of queueing up to give others a chance.<\/p>\n
