Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist believe Jurgen Klopp could make a return to management, but not at club level.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instead, the duo tipped the former Liverpool boss to become the next Germany or England men\u2019s national team boss.<\/p>\n

\"Jurgen
Klopp has been out of management since he left Liverpool in May 2024<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Klopp<\/a> returned to the headlines on Monday when his agent Marc Kosicke revealed he turned down the chance<\/a> to take over at Manchester United<\/a> and Chelsea<\/a> following his departure from Liverpool in 2024.<\/p>\n

The 58-year-old enjoyed a staggering nine-year run at Anfield and steered the Reds to eight trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.<\/p>\n

However, Klopp has remained away from the dugout since he left Liverpool and became the Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull.<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite his new role, where he earns an estimated \u00a38-10million, and stating previously he does not \u2018miss coaching\u2019,<\/a> Klopp has been linked to a swathe of vacancies across Europe\u2019s elite.<\/p>\n

Even though Klopp may not want to return to the day-to-day grind of coaching a club, Stelling and McCoist believe the German could be lured back to the dugout for international football.<\/p>\n

Why Klopp could return with England or Germany<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe only jobs I think would tempt him back into management would be the German national team or the English national team,\u201d Stelling said on talkSPORT Breakfast.<\/p>\n

McCoist replied: \u201cI don\u2019t disagree.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Rangers legend added: \u201cI think he\u2019d be probably, at this moment of time in his own career and his own life, he\u2019d be most suited to a managerial or head coach\u2019s job with a country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stelling said: \u201cUltimately Germany would snap his hand off. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd maybe, depending what happens in the Thomas Tuchel reign, maybe England will as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Stelling and McCoist\u2019s claims, it could be some time before either role is vacant.<\/p>\n

Why Klopp couldn\u2019t take over England or Germany right away<\/h2>\n

Klopp\u2019s countryman Thomas Tuchel<\/a> manages England and he recently had his contract extended<\/a> until the end of Euro 2028.<\/p>\n

Tuchel\u2019s initial deal ran through to the completion of the 2026 World Cup,<\/a> where the Three Lions are expected to be serious contenders.<\/p>\n

The former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss is aiming to lead England to its first men\u2019s major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.<\/p>\n

As for Germany, that post is occupied by Julian Nagelsmann<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, like Tuchel, his contract runs through to Euro 2028 having penned an extension in January.<\/p>\n

Nagelsmann, who was appointed in September 2023, has led Germany at just one major tournament since he took charge, which was the European Championships in 2024.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old oversaw a run to the quarter-finals at Euro 2024, a tournament Germany hosted, as they were knocked out by eventual winners Spain in a 2-1 extra-time defeat.<\/p>\n

Has Klopp previously been approached for the Germany job?<\/h2>\n

Despite Nagelsmann penning a new deal, a poor showing at this year\u2019s World Cup will only ramp up talk linking Klopp to the role.<\/p>\n

The Germany job could have been Klopp\u2019s before Nagelsmann was appointed given he was offered the role following a disappointing 2022\/23 campaign with Liverpool and after Hansi Flick had been axed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could have said yes, because it might have been better to do something different,\u201d Klopp told the Welt am Sonntag last June.<\/p>\n
