Jeff Stelling is having a break from the talkSPORT Breakfast show.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the good news for the millions of listeners it\u2019s not for good \u2013 and no, it\u2019s nothing to do with his health.<\/p>\n

Stelling told listeners he is taking a break and will be back on the air soon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The host of the 6am-10am slot between Monday and Wednesday is simply taking an extended break, having packed a lot into his busy schedule and was quick to reassure listeners he is feeling fine.<\/p>\n

At the end of Tuesday\u2019s show, he said: \u201cWe\u2019ve had so many texts [on today\u2019s show] that I\u2019m going to have to take a break, which is what I\u2019m going to do for the next two or three weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just going to chill out for a bit of rest and relaxation. I\u2019ll see you when I\u2019m back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stelling joined talkSPORT in 2023, sharing Breakfast hosting with the iconic Alan Brazil. <\/p>\n

This came after a near 30-year career at Sky where he became one of the most recognisable faces in sports media through his role on Soccer Saturday.<\/p>\n

Stelling isn\u2019t the only talkSPORT Breakfast host who has had a little time out recently.<\/p>\n

Alan Brazil hit the headlines when he was unexpectedly taken off air<\/a> during a Breakfast show on January 22.<\/p>\n

He took a couple of weeks off to rest and recover.<\/p>\n

Welcoming listeners to the show, he, of course, began with a joke before explaining what happened to him on air<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brazil began: \u201cI\u2019m still alive! I\u2019ve never had so many texts and emails asking: \u2018Are you alright? Are you dead? Are you dying?<\/p>\n

\u201cGive us a break! Honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI had a big infection in my right ear and my left ear was blocked\u2026I was sat here thinking I was going to fall off my chair.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the worst I\u2019ve been, terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Big Al will still be on air during Stelling\u2019s absence \u2013 he wouldn\u2019t miss Cheltenham for the world.<\/p>\n
