Super Eagles and former Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has opened up on his emotional departure from the South African side, describing it as a painful but necessary decision for the next phase of his career.<\/p>\n

After spending four years at the club, the Nigerian international confirmed that his exit was based on mutual understanding, dismissing suggestions that he was forced out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s Best for Both Parties\u201d \u2013 Stanley Nwabali<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Nwabali explained that while leaving the club felt like saying goodbye to family, both he and Chippa United agreed that it was time to move forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn football you need to prove and you need to make a step forward and from the club it\u2019s a very good understanding from both parties.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something that both parties feel like it\u2019s best for the two.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cParting ways from the club after four ways is not a really nice feeling because it\u2019s like a home where you\u2019ve been with these guys, with several different coaches, with the same chairman, players and everything.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The 27-year-old shot-stopper admitted that the emotional connection to the club made the decision even tougher.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now the pathways with the club, it\u2019s not a really nice feeling but in football you really need to make a one step forward.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe chairman has been like a father to me but ever since I arrived in this club we have been talking like a father and son.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI would say I\u2019m open to any club, be it local, be it international, I\u2019m open to anyone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

No Bad Blood, No Push Out<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Addressing reports that he was pushed out of the club, Nwabali firmly shut down the speculation, insisting there were no hard feelings between him and the club\u2019s hierarchy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very understanding request from the both parties.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something that is going to be nice for the both parties. You know, like, no strong hard feelings for something.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an agreement that the both parties will feel like, oh, we wish each other well and look forward for my career.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019ve been in this club for four years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He reiterated his appreciation for the environment he worked in during his time at Chippa United.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really nice working here, but we only need to move forward as a player or as a manager.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

South Africa Stay or Overseas Adventure?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Nwabali made it clear that his next destination remains open. Whether within the South African Premier Soccer League or abroad, the Super Eagles goalkeeper says he is ready for a new challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can literally play anywhere. Anywhere I want to play. Like, I would say I\u2019m open to any club.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing local, being international, I\u2019m open to anyone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Importantly, he revealed that there is no contractual clause preventing him from joining another PSL club.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalking about clause, there is no clause.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

However, despite the speculation surrounding his future, Nwabali disclosed that there are currently no concrete offers on the table.<\/p>\n
