Chelsea wanted to sell Marc Cucurella after a slow start to his career at Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino has revealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Blues<\/a> boss has lauded the Spaniard as the \u2018best full-back in the Premier League\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, Cucurella<\/a> could have been allowed to leave Chelsea after just a year at the club.<\/p>\n

Having been signed for \u00a360million from Brighton in 2022, the left-back played under four different managers in his first season at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Those coaches included Thomas Tuchel<\/a>, Frank Lampard and his former Seagulls boss Graham Potter.<\/p>\n
