Governor Uba Sani has said that the reforms which his administration\u00a0 initiated\u00a0 in the last two and half years, have created the enabling environment for investments in\u00a0 Kaduna State.<\/p>\n
The Governor also said\u00a0 that the reforms have \u2018\u2019earned national recognition, with Kaduna ranked second in the 2025 Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
He made these remarks at the ground breaking ceremony of Kaima Smart City, at Pmape, a community in Kagarko local government in\u00a0 Kaduna State which borders the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, the Governor said that his government\u00a0 is building on the foundation of reform and peace, adding that it \u2018\u2019is now recording concrete investment outcomes across critical sectors.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019 In housing, landmark initiatives such as the Qatar Sanabil Housing project and the Renewed Hope Housing programmes are delivering thousands of affordable homes, social infrastructure, and jobs, particularly for vulnerable and displaced communities,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
The Governor emphasized that \u2018\u2019renewed investor confidence is driving growth in mining, agri-business, manufacturing, and industrial development, leveraging Kaduna\u2019s rich mineral endowment and strategic location. \u2018\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Together, these investments affirm a simple reality: stability and sound policies are translating into real assets, real livelihoods, and sustained economic growth for our people,\u2019\u2019 he pointed out.<\/p>\n
Governor Uba Sani said that\u00a0\u00a0 Kaima Smart City was \u2018\u2019 conceived as a flagship of modern urban development; a city deliberately designed to set new standards for Nigeria and the wider Sub-Saharan African region.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Its strategic location, in close proximity to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, positions it as a critical economic and cultural gateway.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019With an estimated investment exceeding\u00a0 700 Million Dollars, this project reflects confidence in Kaduna State as a destination where vision meets opportunity, and where long-term value is carefully nurtured,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
The Governor noted that Kaima\u00a0 smart city is a response to the pressing realities of the\u00a0 times.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Across the world, rapid urbanization has strained infrastructure, deepened social inequalities, and placed unprecedented pressure on our environment. Kaima Smart City is our answer to these challenges,\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n
Governor Uba Sani further disclosed that\u00a0 the city\u00a0 embraces \u2018\u2019sustainable planning, and resilient infrastructure to create an urban ecosystem that is inclusive, efficient, and future-ready; one that serves present needs while safeguarding the interests of generations yet unborn.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
The Governor promised that when it is completed, Kaima Smart City will stand as a vibrant hub of enterprise, culture, leisure, and innovation.<\/p>\n
He expressed confidence that it will unlock far-reaching benefits: meaningful job creation for our people, expanded economic opportunities for host communities, increased Internally Generated Revenue, and a strong positioning of Kaduna State among Africa\u2019s leading tourism destinations.
