A father butchered his wife and daughter with a massive curved dagger before he was shot de@d by cops as he was trying to kill another relative in their Virginia home, authorities said.\u00a0Chhatra Thapa, 54, went on the sickening stabbing frenzy inside the familys Fairfax home just after 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, as his 1-year-old grandson was also inside.\u00a0To describe this scene as bloody would be an understatement, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis\u00a0told a press conference.\u00a0The damage and the chaos and the carnage that was perpetrated by this man in his 50s on his own family is unimaginable.\u00a0Officers rushed to the scene to reports of a\u00a0domestic violence assault and found Thapas wife, Binda Thapa, 52,\u00a0and their 33-year-old daughter, Mamta Thapa, suffering from multiple stab wounds.\u00a0Wife\u00a0Daughter\u00a0The crazed dad was in the middle of knifing his son-in-law when cops stormed in.\u00a0Thapa\u00a0Police opened fire, k!lling Thapa, after he repeatedly refused to drop the huge blade, authorities said.\u00a0The giant, blood-soaked knife was found alongside his body.\u00a0\u00a0Binda and Mamta were later pronounced dead at the hospital.
