Leicester City are interested in signing goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, talkSPORT understands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Foxes<\/a> sold the Dane to West Ham<\/a> in the summer for a reported \u00a320million following their relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Hermansen has found it tough in his debut season at West Ham<\/figcaption>Getty<\/figcredit><\/figure>\n

Hermansen<\/a> started in the opening four games of the season for the Hammers, but conceded 11 goals across all the fixtures.<\/p>\n

Alphonse Areola has replaced him ever since, and it\u2019s understood that West Ham are in talks with Tottenham Hotspur for Antonin Kinsky.<\/p>\n

He looks set to compete with Areola for the starting role in goal, and his arrival could see Hermansen drop out of the squad.<\/p>\n

However, the 25-year-old could be heading back to Leicester for the rest of the season, although other Championship<\/a> clubs are also keen.<\/p>\n

Jakub Stolarczyk has started in the majority of their league matches but kept only four clean sheets across 26 outings.<\/p>\n

The Foxes, who sacked Marti Cifuentes earlier in the week, sit 16th and nine points above the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

Leicester extended their run without a win to four matches on Saturday with a 2-0 home defeat to Charlton Athletic.<\/p>\n

Although relegation may be an unlikely prospect, their gap above the bottom three is still enough to spark worry over going down.<\/p>\n

Hermansen could help boost their position with a return this month though having impressed throughout his first spell.<\/p>\n

He was the No. 1 choice under manager Enzo Maresca during their Championship title-winning campaign in 2023\/24.<\/p>\n

Premier League appearances followed after their promotion, but the 2015\/16 champions finished 18th and returned to the second tier.<\/p>\n

Hermansen will be hoping for more regular minutes this season in a bid to be part of the Denmark squad at the World Cup.<\/p>\n

However, despite regular call-ups, he is yet to earn an international cap for his country.<\/p>\n

Denmark are yet to qualify for the World Cup but can book their spot with victory in the UEFA play-offs.<\/p>\n

They face North Macedonia in the Path D semi-finals, with the Czech Republic and Republic of Ireland competing in the other tie.<\/p>\n
