Crystal Palace have had a club-record \u00a343million bid accepted to sign Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, talkSPORT understands.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Eagles have made signing a new centre-forward a top priority amid uncertainty over Jean-Philippe Mateta<\/a>\u2018s future at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n

Palace<\/a> have already secured the services of Evann Guessand\u00a0on loan from Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

But they have been seeking another striker in order to sanction Mateta\u2019s exit, with AC Milan in talks to bring him to Italy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Strand Larsen has been identified as Oliver Glasner\u2019s top choice<\/a> \u2013 months after he was denied a move to Newcastle.<\/p>\n

The Magpies saw a \u00a355m bid knocked back<\/a>, with the club ultimately turning to Yoane Wissa instead.<\/p>\n

And despite being linked to Leeds and Nottingham Forest this window, it is Palace that are poised to win the race to snap him up.<\/p>\n

A move to south London in in the offing with the the FA Cup holders haing a guaranteed \u00a343m offer, with an extra \u00a35m in possible add-ons, accepted by Wolves.<\/p>\n

The deal will eclipse Palace\u2019s previous record signing, which was set earlier this window after prising Brennan Johnson away from Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>.<\/p>\n

talkSPORT told you earlier in the week how Wolves<\/a> were expecting an offer in the region of \u00a345m rising to \u00a350m.<\/p>\n

Strand Larsen enjoyed an impressive first season in England last year \u2013 banging in 14 goals in 35 Premier League outings.<\/p>\n

However he has so far failed to replicate that form, having found the back of he net just once net in the top-flight from 23 games.<\/p>\n

The 24-cap Norway international has drew a blank in his last 15 league games.<\/p>\n

His lack of goals is just one reason why the Midlands outfit are languishing at the bottom of the table \u2013 17 points off safety.<\/p>\n

Though he has scored five goals spread across FA Cup and Carabao Cup fixtures to bring his tally to six for the season.<\/p>\n

Should his move to Palace be completed as expected, he could make his debut in the M23 derby against Brighton next weekend.<\/p>\n

As for Mateta, he appears to have played his last game for the club.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman was omitted for Palace\u2019s clash against Forest at the City Ground on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Mateta subtly expressed his feelings regarding his future on Saturday night after issuing a cryptic post on social media.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old posted an emoji signalling his frustration to his Instagram account with his impending move to AC Milan<\/a> yet to be completed.<\/p>\n

talkSPORT understands that AC Milan feel they have an agreement in principal.<\/p>\n
