Thomas Tuchel has signed a contract extension with England.
The former Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss will now take charge of the Three Lions through to Euro 2028.

England first earmarked him as their head coach for the 2026 World Cup, with their first match coming against Croatia on June 17.
However, Tuchel has extended his stay for another two years.
He will take charge of two major tournaments with England being co-hosts at Euro 2028 alongside Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
Tuchel is prominent on Manchester United’s list to become their next permanent manager.
The FA could announce the decision as early as Thursday before the 2026/27 Nations League draw.
“I am very happy and proud to extend my time with England,” he said. “It is no secret to anyone that I have loved every minute so far of working with my players and coaches, and I cannot wait to lead them to the World Cup.
“It is an incredible opportunity and we are going to do our very best to make the country proud.
“I have had so much support from Mark [Bullingham, FA CEO], all my colleagues at The FA and from fans wherever I go that I did not hesitate when asked to continue in this dream job.
“EURO 2028 will be a very special tournament and as a coach there is nothing more you want than to compete with the very best on the biggest possible stage.”
Tuchel record at England so far
England have played ten matches under Tuchel and boast an impressive winning record.

Victories have come in nine of those games, with the one outlier being a 3-1 friendly loss to Senegal in June.
Tuchel also oversaw a memorable World Cup qualification campaign as they won all eight matches in their group.
England scored 22 goals and didn’t concede a single goal themselves as they stormed to another major tournament.
Their next matches come during the March international break with friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.
England then face New Zealand and Costa Rica in two final friendly matches before commencing their World Cup campaign.
England right to give Tuchel extension before World Cup?
Reacting to the news on talkSPORT Breakfast, our live football anchor Adrian Durham said: “It doesn’t look good, does it?
“Because, what you’re saying is, ‘Right, the performances, results that they’ve had have generally been good, but against sides that you would expect England, with the players they’ve got, to beat in qualifying et cetera.
“The one defeat they had was in Nottingham, at home to Senegal in a friendly, and so you’re still wondering if he’s got what it takes at tournament level.
“So, to give him a new contract does seem, on the face of it, a little bit weird.
“What I would say is this, though, if you go into the World Cup with his future not tied down, him not knowing what he’s doing straight after the World Cup, is there potential there that he could be having conversations through his agent, or directly with clubs, who might want him after the World Cup.
“Does that jeopardise our World Cup campaign?”
Gabby Agbonlahor then asked: “Shouldn’t there be pressure of like, ‘Come on, we haven’t won a trophy in so long, you win it or you’re out, simple as that.”
Durham replied: “I understand what you’re saying, and I don’t disagree with that in terms of the pressure.
“Given what Gareth Southgate did with England and how far he took England, Thomas Tuchel, I think, knows by now that we’ve been to two finals, been to a World Cup semi-final.
“He knows he’s got this job, a short-term contract initially, to go and win the World Cup, that’s it. I think if there’s anything less than winning the World Cup, then he has failed the task that he was set, no matte how many people think that that’s a bit harsh.
“I kind of understand having a plan, having a strategy, that’s why you want to tie him down if you’re happy with him.
“But in many ways, you’re absolutely right, he’s being rewarded for not succeeding yet, and that seems to be unpalatable.”
