Brighton star Bart Verbruggen is emerging as a summer target for Bayern Munich, talkSPORT understands.
Legendary goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is out of contract at Bayern this summer and a decision on his long-term future is yet to be made.
The Bundesliga leaders are long-time admirers of Dutch international Verbruggen, who turns 24 in August.
talkSPORT understands that Brighton are relaxed about the situation despite interest from the European giants.
They know they stand to make a hefty profit on the £16million that they paid Anderlecht for his services in 2023.
Brighton also have a ready-made replacement in Carl Rushworth.
The former England Under-21 international has been a revelation during his loan at promotion hopefuls Coventry City in the Championship.
Rushworth has played in all 31 of their league fixtures and kept ten clean sheets.
He also spent the second half of last season amongst the Brighton first team after a loan spell at Hull City, but did not play.
Jason Steele has been their no. 2 throughout the current campaign, with Verbruggen playing in all 25 Premier League fixtures.
However, he has kept only five clean sheets, the last of which came against Burnley on January 3.
His lack of success in goal has coincided with a Brighton run of form that has seen them fall down the league table.
Brighton boos amid relegation battle threat
With just one win since the end of November, Brighton needed three points against rivals Crystal Palace to return to form.
However, they were beaten 1-0 to make it five without victory and some Seagulls fans vented their frustrations with boos.
Head coach Fabian Hurzeler has not been able to replicate the results that helped them finish just outside the European spots last season.
Although they are seven points above the relegation zone, they could be drawn into a battle for Premier League safety.
Anything but a win against Aston Villa tonight, live on the talkSPORT app, would only add to the pressure on Hurzeler.
Brighton also still have fixtures against Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United before the end of the season.
